Our History
Pastor Maurice & Charlotte Caudill
The idea for Valley View Christian
Fellowship was born in the heart of God long ago, but began to be born in the
hearts of founding Pastor Maurice Caudill and his wife, Charlotte, the summer
of 1975. With the encouragement of the
Carson City pastor, Wesley Larson, and the Sectional Presbyter, Paul Hill,
possibilities as to location were searched out, and a plea to God for the
area’s needs was made. After becoming
certain of God’s will, Pastor Caudill (at that time Executive Presbyter for the
Nevada Region), answered the call from God to pastor his fifth pioneer work.
Many churches of the Northern California/Nevada District responded with the
needed support. The first service was
held in the Grange Hall on Toll Road on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1976, with
fourteen people in attendance. Maurice and Charlotte remain beloved members of
the church today.
Pastor Don & Bonnie Rudolph
Rev. and Mrs. Don Rudolph began
their tenure as pastors on May 15, 1983, after the Caudill’s resignation due to
illness. Pastor Rudolph began to search
for land for a new facility. On October
30, 1983, with the help of the Lord 3.4 acres of property were purchased on the
Virginia City Highway. Plans for a new
facility were immediately begun, and with the financial support of Calvary
Temple in Yuba City, California, ground was broken on April 29, 1984. The church was completed and dedicated on
November 10, 1984. The church body
continued to grow in numbers as well as in spiritual areas and many lives were
changed. Many new areas of ministry were
added with the addition of full-time staff.
Pastor Dave & Julie Hoskins
In January of 2001, Pastor David
Hoskins and his wife Julie answered the call of God to become the pastor of
Valley View Christian Fellowship. During the past few years, God has been
laying a foundation for what He wants to accomplish through His church. A new
emphasis on living the mission of God has resulted in new outreaches into the
community. There is a growing awareness of the fact that God has planted each
of us where He wants us to be in order to help the people around us find Jesus.
God’s future for Valley View is exciting as we continue to pursue Him as our
prize!
Pastor Tim and Jennifer Allen
Were seated as Senior Pastors in
2010. God used Tim and Jennifer to bring stability to Valley View and used them
in discipleship. Tim and Jen started many ministries still with Valley View and
Valley View still carries on the ministry model and thrust which began under
the Allens. Tim, Jen and their two children left for Scotland in 2012 so that
Tim could pursue his Ph.D.
Covenant Membership
As a part of this process,
membership is a critical component for commitment at Valley View. We have expectations to see you grow in
Christ and in turn we know you have expectations for us.

opportunities to creatively express the glory of God and share the gospel are
made available to serve the church and wider community.

opportunities to gather together weekly for worship.
